Senior Staff, Financial Performance Management Unit
The Senior Staff of the Financial Performance Management Unit is responsible for preparing profitability assessments for each business unit, providing insightful management reports, conducting industry reviews and peer analysis, and empowering the organization to make informed financial decisions for strategic planning. This role also involves identifying areas for improvement and enhancing overall financial performance, ensuring the bank remains competitive and financially sound.
Main Duties
Performance Management Reporting:
- Prepare insightful monthly financial highlights and departmental update reports for Executive Committee members to support informed financial decisions, strategic planning, and the identification of areas for improvement;
- Prepare the Line of Business (‘’LoB’’) and Fund Transfer Pricing (‘’FTP’’) reports by segment, product, and branch, with commentary, after month-end to empower each segment in making informed decisions, adjusting strategies, and addressing deviations promptly;
- Conduct variance analysis between actual performance and budget for each segment to identify underperforming or overperforming areas, improve overall performance, and highlight potential adjustments to the business, budgeting issues, and revenue or expense concerns;
- Prepare customer profitability reports for each segment after month-end to provide insights into profitability from a customer perspective and support strategic planning for improving customer centricity;
Productivity and Efficiency Optimization:
- Regularly participate in discussions on efficient and effective workflows for performance reporting;
- Contribute to automating the report preparation process to optimize productivity and efficiency.
Market and Industry Benchmark Analysis:
- Prepare quarterly industry reviews and peer analysis to stay informed about industry trends, identify strengths and weaknesses, refine and improve bank strategies, and ensure financial performance remains adaptive and competitive in a dynamic business environment;
- Support as-hoc tasks and new initiatives as assigned by the line manager.
Skills/ Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or other related fields.
- At least 2-3 years in performance reporting or any other related fields.
- Competency in accounting standards (CIFRS), regulatory Prakas/requirement, tax and compliance;
- Proficiency in Ms. Excel and Query (Power BI is a plus);
- Good understanding of financial accounting principles and procedures.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving;
- Good communication verbally and written;
- Desire to learn and good commitment;
- Can work under pressure and tight deadlines;
- Good time management.
