Manager, Retail Lending Products Development Office/Unit

Manager, Retail Lending Products Development is leading the design, development, and enhancement of retail lending products based on market trends and customer needs. Coordinates with marketing, risk, credit, and operations teams to ensure successful product rollout. Regularly reviews product performance, suggests improvements, and ensures all offerings meet regulatory and internal standards.

Main Duties

  • Define and lead the strategic direction for retail lending products by developing innovative solutions that meet evolving customer needs;
  • Analyze product performance, monitor market trends, and identify gaps in the bank’s offerings versus competitive benchmarks;
  • Drive long-term product development and ensuring competitive positioning within the retail lending landscape;
  • Drive successful product development by collaborating with marketing, and internal departments to create effective go-to-market strategies;
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide guidance to the lending salesforce to support product promotion.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including finance and project teams, to ensure alignment and execution of retail lending initiatives;
  • Conduct ongoing market research, customer surveys, and competitor analysis to inform product strategy and identify opportunities for innovation;
  • Analyze trends and customer behavior to enhance existing products and guide new product development;
  • Maintain a proactive approach to market intelligence to ensure the bank’s retail lending offerings remain competitive and aligned with client needs;
  • Assist in developing and delivering loan campaigns objectives;
  • Manage program partnership;
  • Provide training and refresher courses to branch staff on new and existing retail lending products to enhance product knowledge and sales skills;
  • Develop training materials and deliver sessions on key topics such as credit risk management, offer on-the-job support and ensure staff are well-equipped with knowledge of credit policies and product features;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Management.

Skills/ Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance and banking, business administration, or other related fields.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in personal lending, management, or retail banking sales.
  • Strong strategic thinking with a proven ability to translate overarching business goals into practical and effective product strategies.
  • A deep understanding of customer-centric product development principles and best practices in user experience (UX) is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical and managerial skills are necessary for overseeing product development initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial products is crucial for effective product development.
  • ​ Excellent interpersonal and selling skills are valuable for interacting with various teams and promoting new products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a data-driven approach to inform decision-making, are also critical.
  • Computer literacy; in particular, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
