Manager, Personal Lending Office/Unit

Manager, Personal Lending Office/Unit is responsible for overseeing the personal lending segment, including unsecured loans, payroll loans, and auto loan products. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, monitors portfolio quality, ensures adherence to risk and compliance standards, and provides support to frontline teams to drive sustainable growth.

Main Duties

  • Drive growth in the personal lending portfolio by identifying customer needs and offering loan solutions;
  • Generate sales from new and existing clients while promoting the bank’s full range of products.
  • Build strong client relationships and actively engage with prospective borrowers and develop partnerships with key stakeholders such as auto dealers, distributors, and agents to expand business opportunities;
  • Oversee the end-to-end loan application process, including client meetings, data collection, credit analysis, and preparation of loan proposals;
  • Review applicants’ repayment capacity and ensure compliance with lending policies and to monitor loan performance;
  • Analyze personal lending procedures and credit assessment processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance;
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints promptly. Support branch operations as needed while ensuring a high standard of customer service to drive satisfaction and loyalty;
  • Manage client interactions and enhance the overall customer experience;
  • Lead and support the personal lending team by overseeing sales performance, and individual loan portfolios.
  • Develop strategies and tools to improve team productivity and ensure targets are met;
  • Provide guidance on personal loan and auto loan matters, and regularly report on lending performance with strategic recommendations;
  • Prepare business proposal packs for submission to the CEO and Credit Committee and present portfolio performance, and growth strategies in management meetings when required;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Management.

Skills/ Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance and banking, business administration, or other related fields
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in personal lending, management, or retail banking sales.
  • A strong understanding of retail banking products and related market dynamics is essential.
  • Proven credit assessment and sales skills are also highly valued.
  • Competence in analytical and organizational skills are required for assessing loan applications and managing team performance.;
  • Problem-solving skills are vital for addressing challenges and finding effective solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • ​ Excellent customer service and sales skills are vital for driving business growth.
  • Computer literacy; in particular, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
